About MWP Mobile Fabrications
MWP Mobile Fabrications is a Central Kentucky-based welding and fabrication company specializing in commercial and industrial projects. Founded by Brad Smith, MWP provides welding and fabrication services to general contractors, construction companies, industrial facilities, and businesses throughout Kentucky and surrounding states.
With more than 16 years of experience in welding, pipefitting, and industrial maintenance, Brad has built MWP around dependable workmanship, professional service, and practical solutions for complex projects.
What began as a mobile welding operation has grown into a business supporting commercial construction, structural steel work, industrial maintenance, equipment repairs, and custom metal fabrication.
Our team provides both on-site welding and shop fabrication services. We are fully insured and serve commercial and industrial clients throughout Kentucky and surronding states, with the ability to travel farther for larger projects.

MWP Mobile Fabrications brings experienced welding professionals and hands-on industry knowledge to commercial and industrial projects.
Brad Smith holds welding qualifications under AWS D1.1 for structural steel using MIG and stick welding processes, along with AWS D1.6 stainless steel structural welding qualifications. Our welding employees also hold D1.1 and D1.6 qualifications.
Our team’s experience includes structural steel welding, stainless steel fabrication, industrial piping, equipment maintenance, and commercial construction applications.
We are committed to providing dependable workmanship while meeting the technical requirements of each project.

About Us
My name is Brad Smith and I am the owner of Mobile Fabrications – Mobile Welding Pro’s. I started my welding career here in central Kentucky and gained all of my skills and experience working in the field! I started out working for a small pipefitting/industrial maintenance company in Lexington, Ky! I worked several years in the pipefitting/welding industry, learning and building my skills as a welder/pipefitter!
I was mentored by a very knowledgeable friend and master pipe welder! I was like a sponge, soaking up all the experience and knowledge that he had to offer! You could say that he made me the welder that I am today in some ways!!
After I left that company, I worked for several different welding/fabricating companies as an independent contractor picking up a lot of skills and experience in different fields and processes of the welding industry. I worked for Link-Belt for several years welding on million-dollar cranes! All the while, working for all these other businesses, I always had a burning hunger inside me to one day be a business owner myself!

My name is Brad Smith and I am the owner of Mobile Fabrications – Mobile Welding Pro’s. I started my welding career here in central Kentucky and gained all of my skills and experience working in the field! I started out working for a small pipefitting/industrial maintenance company in Lexington, Ky! I worked several years in the pipefitting/welding industry, learning and building my skills as a welder/pipefitter!
Over the years, as I could afford it, I would slowly buy tools and equipment that I would need to one day “Break Out” on my own! I bought a truck and a used welder and started doing work on the side when I could until I could comfortably quit my day job and rely solely on the small clientele that I had built up! Well, that was almost 4 years ago and the company is growing every day!
Today, my clientele ranges from many car washes in central Kentucky to excavating companies, mowing companies, and the list goes on and on!
With over 4 years of experience in the business, we have gradually grown our mobile welding and fabrication services. We are capable of coming to you or your business to provide welding/fabricating services!
We offer pre-fabrication shop services as well! If you or your business has a stairway, handrail, or automatic entryway gate project you would like us to pre-fabricate and install, we are absolutely capable of doing so!
We offer mobile Aluminum and Stainless Steel welding capabilities as well! With our experience and knowledge, we complete every project with precision and quality workmanship. You can trust that your project is in good hands with us!

We have years of experience in the industry and are highly knowledgeable in all aspects of fabrication. Authentic Thoroughbred Race Horse Shoe
These authentic horse shoes were removed by the farrier from actively racing Thoroughbred horses. The shoes have been left in their used state containing actual dirt from Keeneland and Churchill Downs race tracks.
